He’s been called all sorts of things in the past – and now Top Gear star Jeremy Clarkson has been branded an a***hole by Blur singer Damon Albarn.
Clarkson, you may recall, is freshly back in the UK after causing a shit-storm in Argentina by driving around in a Porsche with the registration plate H982 FKL. Local war vets interpreted the plate as a sick reference to the 1982 Falklands conflict, in which Argentina was defeated by a British military task force.
It might seem a bit of an over-reaction on behalf of the vets, but hey – nobody likes to miss a chance to put the boot into Clarkson. The presenter of the BBC’s top-rated show was forced to flee for his life from an angry mob who were hurling bricks and all sorts of shit at his TV crew.
All this seems to have horrified that sensitive soul, Albarn – who was desperate to apologise on behalf of the UK during a recent a gig in Buenos Aires.
“I’m sure it was all in the press here but I want to really apologise for for the behaviour of a guy called Jeremy Clarkson,” Albarn to the crowd.
“”He’s a f***ing a***hole,” sneered the singer, while apparently making a rude hand gesture.
Ginger Clam is only happy that Clarkson didn’t get to show off the other number plate he was reportedly planning to use in Argentina. According to the Daily Mirror, it read BE11 END (which for overseas readers who don’t know about these things, is a reference to a tip of a cock!).
